n week two of our 2 Peter series, we looked at 2 Peter 2:1–3 and Peter’s warning about false teaching within the church. This sermon addresses the claim that abortion is merely a political issue or only about a woman’s right to choose, and compares that claim with Scripture’s view of life in the womb. Through passages such as Exodus 21, Luke 1, and Psalm 139, we considered the biblical teaching that an unborn child is a purposely created, image-bearing life with intrinsic value before God.
The message also speaks directly to those who have experienced abortion, emphasizing the forgiveness, righteousness, and healing offered through Jesus Christ. The sermon closes with a call for Christians to engage this issue prayerfully, humbly, compassionately, and biblically—not only in voting, but also in conversations, care, support, and long-term love for mothers, fathers, and children.
