Our First and Our best

The Bible asks us to give our first and our best back to God knowing God will bless the rest.

This first is the tithe, or tenth, of our income. We return to the Lord 10% of what He’s given us because it belongs to Him. The tithe is a practical and tangible way to put God first. If you can’t yet commit to 10%, then pick a percentage and begin to practice intentional generosity.

We believe generosity is an act of worship. How we view our finances and how we share our finances communicates something about the position of our hearts. Jesus told us that our treasure follows our hearts (Matthew 6:21), and with that in mind we want to live in such a way that our finances communicates our heart’s dependence on God. Proper giving or stewardship grows our faith in ways other spiritual disciplines don't.

Real Life is more interested in your discipleship and the position of your heart than the money you give. We never want to communicate ‘give’ simply to give. Rather, our desire is to communicate give because your heart is in line with what God is calling you as his disciple to do: be generous!

Our challenge to you: dive in and see what God does as you give. We don’t give to get, but we know too that we receive incredible blessings from God as we live a disciplined life for his purposes. We are blessed as we align our hearts with his desires.

Real LIfe tithes

Real Life lives out this generosity as well. We practice what we preach by giving 10% of every dollar donated to our General Fund either locally or globally.  As a church, we face the same realities of seeing other ways we could spend these funds but choose to trust God in giving to others.  The value of being generous with what God provides to us is too important for us not to give. If you have questions or issues with your giving, please contact our Financial Administrator, Denise Holser, at dholser@reallife.church
